Exploring the expansive castle in Hogwarts Legacy reveals numerous hidden environmental challenges designed to test your spellcasting abilities. Among these secrets is the Bell Tower puzzle, where players encounter two rows of owl-adorned bells missing two key components. Successfully restoring these instruments requires finding the detached pieces and levitating them back into their correct positions.

Finding the Bell Tower Location

To begin this environmental challenge, travel to the Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flame within the Bell Tower Wing. Head up the nearby staircases until you reach the music classroom featuring a choir setup. Continue climbing the wooden stairs at the back of the room to access the high wooden scaffolding housing the bell structure.

Preparing the Necessary Spells

While players can attempt to manipulate objects using basic spells, using the Wingardium Leviosa charm makes positioning the bells significantly easier. This advanced charm grants full control over the distance, height, and orientation of floating items. You can unlock this ability by finishing Professor Garlick's first Herbology assignment during the main story campaign.

Locating and Placing the First Bell

The first missing bell sits on a landing platform along the staircase as you climb up through the tower. Cast Wingardium Leviosa to lift the object carefully toward the central wooden framework. Slot this smaller bell into the empty space located on the bottom row of the bell arrangement.

Positioning the Second Bell and Claiming Rewards

The second bell is located higher up on a wooden platform near the upper flights of stairs. Lift this larger piece with your levitation magic and guide it to the open spot on the top row. Once both bells are fitted properly, they will chime together to signal that the puzzle is complete. Solving this challenge rewards progress toward the "All's Well That Ends Bell" side quest and unlocks access to upper tower chests.
